Montreux Prize 2009

Deadline for Montereux prize - 30 March 2009

After the 1991 IAAH international congress held in Montreux, the Swiss Association for Adolescent Health has created a prize which is delivered every four to five years during the IAAH international congresses. The first prize was delivered in 1995 in Vancouver.

According to the statutes adopted by the Swiss Association for Adolescent Health (SAAH), the prize should go to an individual under the age of 40 from a low-income country (Africa, some countries from Asia and South and Central America) who has developed innovative research and/or preventive program targeting adolescent health. The amount of the price is 1000 US$. The travel to and participation in the meeting are taken over by the SAAH.

All interested professionals should submit their proposal to Prof. P.-A. Michaud, head of the Montreux Prize Committee (see below).

The proposal should include:
  1. a summary of the main findings / results of the research / program (1 page)
  2. a list of related references (published papers, book, etc.)
  3. a description of the research / program (5-10 pages) in English or French
  4. a complete CV of the applicant
  5. two accompanying letters of support from local agencies / academic institutions / government
